This is your wife's friend Kim. I'm a really big dork and don't really have much to say except that I was so worried about her and I was stuck here in Pennsylvania so I can't even imagine how you were feeling. She really is a strong, wonderful person and I am totally jealous of her. Oh yeah, and I want a copy of that hospital music!
This is Kim again and I just realized that I should have posted the last message to the previous blog right? Well, goes to show that I was right about being a dork...now you know who the crazy person is that your wife talks to online...
girl, i'll take a comment anywhere, on the sidewalk in chalk if need be. sharon is doing great thanks to all her great friends. jeesh, i go in under the knife and get dead flowers . . . s.a. has a plethora of petals. i'm such a lucky guy.
That photo looks like it could be a still from "The Road To Wellville"! Heh...
Glad things went well at the hospital. Back surgeries can indeed be scary. My 18-year-old daughter had back surgery when she was 13 for a severe scoliosis, and she was in the hospital for 10 days... she has a metal rod in her upper back, and the doc had to go in through her side to take out a rib with which to make some new vertebrae material... aieee! We passed the time in the hospital when she was awake watching Black Adder and Monty Python, and listening to her Wallflowers "Breach" CD. I did a lot of reading too... Glad you had the Dan Brown book to keep you company; I also like his books. And I have never been able to put down any book from the writing team of Douglas Preston and Lincoln Child! You might enjoy some of their stuff... good yarns, well-told!
i stole that pic from some hospital's old photo archive, but that does look a'lil like tony hopkins in the middle . . . man, your poor daughter! what a horrid thing to happen at 13, hope it fixed everything and was worth it, (sounded dreadful). good to know she was watching python thru it, a sense of humor is the greatest cure! and i'll look up those books, always need new input. thanks for the head's up . .

From reading your blog and hearing everything she says about you, I think she is pretty lucky too!
Oh yeah, and if you ever go in the hospital, I promise to send you alive flowers!!
that one brought a tear to my eye, thank you kim, (silly girl). . .
You and Sharon are so sweet...you are my second set of parents. Bet ya didn't know you have another 24 year old daughter named Kim huh?
I'm silly? You don't know the half of it!
