I'm not really a huge Beach Boys fan (Holland is my favorite BB album, believe it or not)but I have to say I consider Brian one of rock's legends. Not only for his musical contributions but also the fascinating personal struggle he's gone through over the years.
i have been watching 'smile' non-stop for 2 days now, it really is a wonderful thing. it is a testament of the human spirit to watch him tackle his demons in getting this together. his band is incredible! they pull off the show better than the beach boys could ever have, like as if they could touch this anyways. and i think 'holland' is one of the best lps ever, hell i even like brian's fairy tale . . .
